    Notice: The August Board meeting has been rescheduled to August 11, 2014 at 9 a.m. The Board will take final action to adopt the amendments to COMAR 09.23.03.09 to allow digital signatures. The regulations were published in the June 27, 2014 issue of the Maryland Register and can be viewed at the proposed regulations page.

    The Board will also take final action to adopt amendments to COMAR 09.23.01.04 to align policies set out in regulations with changes resulting from implementation of computer-based testing. The regulations were published in the May 30, 2014 issue of the Maryland Register and can be viewed at the proposed regulations page.

    Welcome to our home page. The Board for Professional Engineers qualifies and licenses persons seeking licensure to practice as a professional engineer. The Board regulates the practice of engineering under the provisions of Business Occupations and Professions Article, Annotated Code of Maryland, Title 14 and the Code of Maryland Regulations, Title 9, Subtitle 23. The Board investigates complaints against licensees, as well as complaints related to unlicensed practice. The Board may issue a reprimand, suspend or revoke a license and /or impose a fine.

    Public Meetings
    Regular business meetings of the State Board for Professional Engineers are typically scheduled on the second Thursday of each month (unless conflict with holiday). They are open to the public and take place at 500 N. Calvert Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21202, at 9 am - DLLR Calendar.
