institutions chartered in Maryland, including State-chartered banks, State-chartered credit unions, and State-chartered
trust companies; and State-licensed financial entities including, consumer finance companies, mortgage lenders, mortgage
brokers, mortgage servicers, mortgage loan originators, credit reporting agencies, consumer debt collection agencies,

Should you have a complaint about a financial institution or practice, we suggest that you contact the counterparty
first to try to resolve the matter. If you are unable to resolve your issue, however, you may file a complaint. In order
to streamline the process, please determine if the financial institution is regulated by our office.
