The Employment Services/Wagner-Peyser Program is funded by the U.S. Department of Labor through a grant award for $12,301,343 with $0 (0%) state, local and/or non-governmental funds.
The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Adult Program is funded by the U.S. Department of Labor through a grant award for $13,150,215 with $0 (0%) state, local and/or non-governmental funds.
The WIOA Dislocated Worker Program is funded by the U.S. Department of Labor through a grant award for $17,212,091 with $0 (0%) state, local and/or non-governmental funds.
The WIOA Youth Program is funded by the U.S. Department of Labor through a grant award for $13,647,037 with $0 (0%) state, local and/or non-governmental funds.
The Senior Community Service Employment total funds are $1,249,717. Out of the total, $1,099,803 (88%) is funded by the U.S. Department of Labor through a grant. $149,914 (12%) are funded with State funds (a required State Match).
The Trade Adjustment Assistance Program is funded by the U.S. Department of Labor through a grant award for $2,031,963 with $0 (0%) in state, local and/or non-governmental funds.
The Disabled Veterans and Local Veteran Employment Program is funded by the U.S. Department of Labor through a grant award for $3,956,439 with $0 (0%) in state, local and/or non-governmental funds.
State Apprenticeship: $25 M from the State Reserve Fund was dedicated for the State’s Apprenticeship Programs. These funds will be administered starting in FY23 with $250,000 for administrative costs associated with public safety, transportation, health care, and higher education apprenticeship workgroups operated by the Maryland Department of Labor.
The Apprenticeship State Expansion Program is funded by the U.S. Department of Labor through a grant award for $2,854,797 with $0 (0%) in state, local and/or non-governmental funds.
The Apprenticeship Capacity Program is funded by the U.S. Department of Labor through a grant award for $6,012,924 with $0 (0%) in state, local and/or non-governmental funds.
The Opioid Recovery Grant (to address the Opioid Crisis) Program is funded by the U.S. Department of Labor through a grant award for $4,589,064 with $0 (0%) in state, local and/or non-governmental funds.
The One-Stop Workforce Information Program is funded by the U.S. Department of Labor through a grant award for $612,523 with $0 (0%) in state, local and/or non-governmental funds.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics, Labor Market Information Program (BLS/LMI) is funded by the U.S. Department of Labor through a grant award for $1,091,135 with $0 (0%) in state, local and/or non-governmental funds.
The Workforce Data Quality Initiative (WDQI) Grant is funded by the U.S. Department of Labor through a grant award for $1,799,422 with $0 (0%) in state, local and/or non-governmental funds.
The Foreign Labor Certification Program is funded by the U.S. Department of Labor through a grant award for $501,860 with $0 (0%) in state, local and/or non-governmental funds.
The Workforce Opportunities Tax Credit Program (WOTC) is funded by the U.S. Department of Labor through a grant award for $352,949 with $0 (0%) in state, local and/or non-governmental funds.
The Recovery for the Economy, Livelihoods, Industries, Entrepreneurs, and Families (Relief Act) funding is funded by the U.S. Department of the Treasury and awarded by the State of Maryland, through a grant award for $7,000,000 with $0 (0%) in state, local and/or non-governmental funds.
The American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding is funded by the U.S. Department of the Treasury through a grant award for $75,000,000 with $0 (0%) in state, local and/or non-governmental funds. 50% of the funding was available in FY22, and the remainder in FY23.
The Adult Education and Family Literacy Act (AEFLA) Program total funds are $13,478,941. Out of the total, $10,783,153 (80%) is funded by the U.S. Department of Education through a grant award. $2,695,788 (20%) is funded with State funds (a required State Match).
The Correctional Education Program total funds are $19,928,828. Out of the total, $4,143,013 (21%) are reimbursable funds, funded by Maryland State Department of Education, Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services, and the Department of Education. The remaining $15,785,815 (79%) are funded with State funds.
The Reemployment Services and Eligibility Assessment (RESEA) Program is funded by the U.S. Department of Labor through a grant award for $3,274,034 with $0 (0%) in state, local and/or non-governmental funds.
The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Information Technology Service Center (WITSC) is funded by the U.S. Department of Labor through a grant award for $1,010,694 with $0 (0%) in state, local and/or non-governmental funds.
