State Information Data Exchange (SIDES) E-Response |

The State Information Data Exchange (SIDES) E-Response is a website
developed through a partnership between the US Department of Labor and state unemployment insurance
agencies to provide a nationally-standardized format in which employers can easily respond to UI
Requests for Separation Information. It provides a secure, electronic format that performs a
comprehensive check of the information entered to ensure that it is complete before it is submitted.
When a response is submitted, E-Response provides a confirmation number for your records.
The Maryland Division of Unemployment Insurance is providing SIDES E-Response to Maryland
employers as an alternate method to our "Request
for Separation Information - Online Form for Employers."
To respond to the Request for Separation Information through SIDES E-Response you will
need the following information:
- Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN)
- Maryland State Employer Account Number
- Identification number/Access code - use Internet Key as provided on the Request for Separation Information form
